He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Trnka and Helen Trnka (Dobson); his brother Joseph; and his parents-in-law, Robert and Helen DeVol.
He is survived by: his wife Pat; his daughters, Jamie Trnka (Andrew Oppenheimer), Wendy Trnka-Warner (Chris Warner), Katherine Trnka (Casey Frantum) and Carolyn Trnka; his grandsons, Lev Oppenheimer and Abel Warner; and his brother-in-law John DeVol (Pam). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
