With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Barr of Traverse City, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 24, 2026 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Georgia Barr; his parents, Garth Barr and Gladys Barr; his brother William Barr; his stepdaughter Angie Liquia (Jerry Liquia); and his brother-in-law George Olman.
He is survived by: his stepson Greg Schaub (Linda); his stepgrandchildren, Joel Schaub (Christine) and Emily Velazquez (Pedro); his stepgreat-granddaughter Georgia; his sister-in-law Gloria Olman; his niece Lynne; and his nephews, Michael and Brian.
Memorial contributions may be given in John's honor to Munson Hospice or Cherryland Humane Society.
