Lenore, born on June 17, 1931 in Alexandria, Ontario, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald R. MacDonald and Elizabeth MacDonald; her husband Mitchell Berlin; her daughter Mary Carole; her siblings, Elaine Szatkowski and John MacDonald; her close friend Carl VanWezel; and her friends, Ingrid Shriner, Beverly and Bernie Carroll.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Hemming (Bill), Joseph Berlin (Joan) and Barbara Mort (Greg); her grandchildren, Annie Hemming, Jill Anderson (Ben), Jessie Lonnerstater (Matt), Mitch (Amanda Banton), Jackson Mort, Claire, William (Camille) and Robert Berlin; her great grandchildren, Charlie, Owen, Evan, Nora, Lilly Lenore and Violet Mae; and her friends, Gail Glarum and Cyndy Carroll-Wolf.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 9:30 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (12675 Center Rd, Traverse City, MI 49686). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial gifts be directed to the Father Fred Foundation or the Hamtramck Firefighters Association.
