She was predeceased by: her parents, Beatrice Kinsel (Walker) and Olin Kinsel; her son Don; and her sister Joby Mills (Joan Beatrice). She is survived by: her husband Stanley Ries; her daughters, Carol Byerly of Boulder and Kathy Brandenburg (John) of Maple City; her daughter-in-law Karen Ries; and her grandchildren, Adam Ries of Portland, Eva Brandenburg of New York City, Jessica Ries of Sarasota and Jori Brandenburg of Berkeley, California..
