We announce the death of Paul James Ward of Traverse City, Michigan, who passed away on July 22, 2026, at the age of 70. Paul will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his stepson Oscar Scheier. He is survived by: his wife Julie Scheier; his children, William Ward (Sierra) and Anna Ward (Kyle); his goddaughter Sarah Challender; his stepson Gus Scheier; and his nieces and nephews, Audrey (Scott), Steven (Sharon), Linda (Ken), Susan (Ken), Harlon (Monique) and Rose (Brent).
In lieu of plants or flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy should consider a memorial donation to the Food Rescue of Northwest Michigan or East Jordan Care and Share Food Pantry.
