He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hintsala and Lydia Hintsala (Wainio); and his aunt Martha Wainio. He is survived by: his wife Connie Hintsala; his children, Leslie Buttleman (Corbin), Steven Hintsala (Tamara), Johnathon Hintsala (Anita) and Karlee Buske (Joshua); his stepdaughters, Leigh Gaddy (Cecil) and Molly Notenbaum (Alan); his stepgrandchildren, Corbin Luc, Hayden, Reagen of Johnathon, Oliver, Jaidev, Claire, Marshall, Maxwell, Franklin and Cooper; his sister Mary Collins (David); and his niece Karista Hill (Justin).
