She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Stehouwer and Marian Stehouwer (Austin); her sister Marcia Grell; and her in-laws, Burton, Adeline Griner and Tom Swanson.
She is survived by: her husband Jay Griner; her children, Joan Griner Licht (Norman) of Traverse City and Steve Griner of Johns Island; her grandchildren, Allyson Licht and Charlie Licht; her brother Bob; her sister-in-law Kay Stehouwer; and her in-laws, Jimmie Grell, Patricia Swanson, Jim and Camille Griner. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Susan Stehouwer Griner Scholarship fund at Northwestern Michigan College, or First Congregational Church of Traverse City.
