He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank J. Bielman and Evelyn Bielman (Shields); and his brother Frank J. Bielman. He is survived by: his wife Julianne C. Scharbat; his siblings, Mary Ann May (Edward), Margaret Smith (Phillip), Evelyn Burns (Michael) and Ricci Dawson (Frank); his children, Karl Bielman (Sarah), Kathryn Caughell (Brian) and Michael Bielman; and his grandchildren, Ainsley R. Bielman and Augustus T. Bielman.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cowell Family Cancer Center or Hospice of Michigan.
