He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Nelson Mouser and Janet Ruth Mouser (Shellenbarger); his wife Shirley Jean Peters; his children, Anna Mouser, Mary McCall (Pete) and William Mouser Jr. (Rachel); his grandchildren, Madeline McCall Perry (Dakota), Liam McCall and Max McCall; his great grandchild Barrett Perry; his siblings, Wilnet Crutchfield (Tim) and Eric Mouser; his siblings-in-law, Larry Peters (Bonnie), Joe Peters (Betty), Denny Peters (Sandy), Bev Peabody and Carol Pierce (Mike); and his granddaughter Olivia Grace McCall. He was also cherished by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorial contributions in his honor may be directed to a fund for his grandchildren's education.
