He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Ross and Doris Ross (Whitman); his former wife Frances Mary Kenworthy; his daughter Mary Emma Ross; and his brothers, Duane, Darryl, Dennis and James Ross.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Ross; his children, Douglas Jay Ross (Norma Jean) of Burton, Michigan and Edna Blower of Flint; his grandson Frank; and his sisters, Glenda Ross and Carol Wright. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
