With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frances E. Carter (Trenton, Michigan), born in Wyandotte, Michigan, who passed away on May 12, 2026 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles McLaughlin and Margaret McLaughlin; her husband Robert L. Carter; and her son Jeffrey Carter (Kathy). She is survived by: her children, Leslie Browning and Robert T. Carter; her grandchildren, Ryan (Melanie), Jessica, David (Kayla), Jeremy (Kyleigh), Nicole (Scott) and Melissa (Don); and her great grandchildren, Jacob, Jeffrey, Jaxson, Carter, Rhett, Beckett, Jordyn and Grady.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Trenton Chapel - Martenson Family (3200 West Rd, Trenton, MI 48183). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Family Sharing the Trenton Chapel - Martenson Family (3200 West Rd, Trenton, MI 48183). The lying in state will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the St Joseph Catholic Church (2623 3rd St, Trenton, MI 48183). A Mass will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. An entombment will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at the Our Lady of Hope Catholic Cemetery (18303 Allen Rd, Brownstown Charter Twp, MI 48193).
Her contributions to her community and her cherished role within her family will forever be remembered with respect and love.
