He was predeceased by: his parents, John Read and Geraldine Read; his former wife Irma; and his siblings, Roger, Harriet, Nellie, John, Geraldine, Mary and David.
He is survived by: his wife Louise; his children, David (Jeanne), Laura (Thomas R. Shonk), Thomas and Jeffrey (Mary); his grandchildren, Kristin (Kodi Sander), Thomas J. Shonk, Grant Read, Nicholas Read (Kylee), Alex Read and Andrew Read; and his great grandchildren, Adley and Ember Sander.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (2550 Edsel St, Trenton, MI 48183). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the fund of choice at St. Paul Lutheran Church (https://splconline.com), Trenton or to the Parkinson's Foundation .
