He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Monrad and Ruth Monrad. He is survived by: his wife Connie; and his children, Christine Halladay (Jim) and Eric Monrad.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church (Trenton) Music Ministry.
