He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Simmons and Isabel Simmons; his brother Larrey; and his nephew David. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Marie; his siblings-in-law, Phyllis Simmons Kubler and Dwight Holien (Donna); and his sibling's children, Timothy Simmons, Patrick Holien (Laura Hoffer), Linda Haviland (Mike) and Kristy DePolo (Nick).
