He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Furton and Marie Furton. He is survived by: his wife Liz; his sisters, Harriet Reece, Joyce Greco and Linda Blauet; his children, John Furton, Sheila Rodriguez and Matt Furton; his children-in-law, Cally Furton, Shaun Rodriguez and Katy Furton; his grandchildren, Andrew, Grant, Reid Furton, Ethan, Elise, Alexis Rodriguez, Anna, Alex and Nicholas Furton; Jerry, Harriett, Joyce and Linda.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Old Newsboys' Goodfellow Fund of Detroit (http://www.detroitgoodfellows.org), which distributes gift boxes to kids during the Christmas season to ensure that no kid in the Detroit area is forgotten.
