Evelyn M. Nowalski Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Evelyn M. Nowalski in Troy, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 10, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Vogler and Violet Vogler; and her siblings, Marjorie Goike (Michael), Marion Easton, Lauretta Endres (Bernard) and John Vogler (Lynn).
She is survived by: her sister Catherine Hannon (William); her friend Mary Lou Vogler; her husband Edward "Eddie" Nowalski; her children, Joan McNish (Larry), Edward, Lee Duszkiewicz (Daniel), James Nowalski and Robert Nowalski; her grandchildren, Andrew (Bridget), Edward (Beth), Michael (Nichole), John (Katharine), Brian (Bryn) and Laura; her great grandchildren, Violet, Maggie, Edward, Aleksandra, Saveta, Nicolas, Carter, Peter, Elliot, Joshua, Kiernan and Cora; and her stepchildren, Daniel Michael (Kristin) and Lisa.
The lying in state was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church (44633 Utica Rd, Utica, MI 48317). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Lawrence Choir in Utica or to the nursing staff at the American House 2100 Grand Haven, Troy, Michigan 48083.
