Grace Wagner Birney Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Grace Wagner Birney of Troy, Michigan, who passed away on June 11, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Grace Wagner Birney to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her son Robert W. Birney; and her siblings, Albert Wagner and Virginia Farmer. She is survived by: her husband James; her children, James W. Birney (Christine), Michael J. Birney (Lisa), Thomas P. Birney (Carole), Patti L. Stark (Deacon Chris), Timothy P. Birney, Daniel R. Birney and Brian W. Birney (Katherine); her sibling Wynifred Grzibowski; and her sons, Vasu and Rodgers.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the A. J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel) (32515 Woodward Ave, Royal Oak, MI 48073). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the A. J. Desmond & Sons (32515 Woodward Ave, Royal Oak, MI 48073). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church (32340 Pierce St, Beverly Hills, MI 48025).
