“I met Arie about seven years ago at a Veterans Day celebration. We had served at the same base in Bad Tolz, Germany. though a number of years apart. Since, we became weekly lunch partners. His history intrigued me, although I often wondered how many of his adventures were based in fact or created for my amusement. He was a good friend, funny, thoughtful, and kind. My family also enjoyed his company. Lunches were replaced by hospital and rehab center visits. He will be greatly missed!”
