He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Chapin and Marg Chapin; and his brother Fritz Chapin. He is survived by: his wife Noreen Chapin (Denny); his children, Maggie Chapin, Christie (Chapin) and Shields (Jason); his grandchildren, Maura and Braden Shields; and his sister Mary Gergel (Chapin).
