Joan Hourdakis Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan Hourdakis (Troy, Michigan), who passed away on July 7, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Joan Hourdakis to show support.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Eleni Mitsotakis and Emmanuel Mitsotakis. She is survived by: her brothers, Andreas and Kiriakos; her half-sister Vicky; her husband John; her children, George (Kathy), Manuel (Annabelle) and Helen (Bob); her granddaughters, Ariana, Georgeann, Alle, Maggie, Kristen, Isabella and Emma; and her great grandchild Angelo.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 11:30 AM and at 12:00 PM at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church (760 W Wattles Rd, Troy, MI 48098).

In honor of Joan's deep compassion and her support for children's causes, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org) and The Shriners -- organizations that were close to her heart.
