With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joanne M. Simpson of Troy, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 5, 2025 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Lutfy and Angeline Lutfy; and her grandmother Joanne Simpson. She is survived by: her children, Michael (Anne), Mary Lyon (Chris) and Renee Mojek (Kevin); her aunt Mary; her great grandchildren, Michael, Riley, Luke, Maddie, Ali and James; and her son Troy.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM and from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A rosary was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the A. J. Desmond & Sons (2600 Crooks Rd, Troy, MI 48084). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church (2700 Waldon Rd, Lake Orion, MI 48360).
