He is survived by: his wife Daisy; his sisters, Ellen and Cora; his grandchildren, Jaclyn Penalva (Alberto), Patrick Rapadas (Michelle), Jennifer Bandico, Tina Gibbs (Dan), Lisa Schripsema (Josh), Alex, Crystal Oparka, Joseph Jr., Olivia, Nick, Nolan and Fiona Rapadas; and his great grandchildren, Isaac Penalva, Jade, Myles Bandico, Riley and Tanner Gibbs.
