He is survived by: his children, John Schandevel (Diane), Leah McCulley (Mike) and Kari Potts (Dwayne); and his grandchildren, Kyle, Kevin and Brendan.

A rosary was held on Sunday, August 23rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 5:15 PM at the same location. The lying in state was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Anastasia Catholic Church (4571 John R Rd, Troy, MI 48085). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
