It is with sadness that the passing of Joseph Sobosky (Troy, Michigan) is shared. Joseph, born on October 16, 1933 in Luzerne, Pennsylvania, passed away on September 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Marie Doty. He is survived by: his children, Dana Hoye, David Sobosky, Lisa Heck Hudson (David Hudson) and Greg Sobosky; and his grandchildren, Doug Hoye, Kelly McEvoy, Scott Sobosky, Rachel Blackstock, Rebecca Brown and Lauren Heck. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the White Chapel Cemetery (621 W Long Lake Rd, Troy, MI 48098).
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
