She was predeceased by: her parents, George Johnson and Shirley Johnson; and her sisters, Sharon Slater and Beverly Sowers. She is survived by: her husband James; her children, James Wartian, Jr. (Melody), John Wartian (Carol), Elizabeth Rupprecht (Phil) and Stephen Wartian (Theresa); and her grandchildren, Rachel Austin (Zane), Andrew Wartian, Luke, Levi and Abby Rupprecht. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made to First Baptist Church of Troy.
