He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Opatik and Theresa Opatik; and his nephew Patrick. He is survived by: his brothers, Edward Opatik, Robert Opatik (Ida) and Richard Opatik (Kathy); his siblings' children, Melinda, Edward Jr., Danielle, Priscilla, Nicholas, Lori, Rob, Stephanie, Michael and Kelly; and his pet Sugar.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wasik Funeral Home - Gendernalik Chapel (35259 23 Mile Rd, New Baltimore, MI 48047).
