He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Hartman and Sara Hartman (Steimel); his brother Evan Hartman; his stepfather William Morrell; and his brother-in-law Teddy Varady.

He is survived by : his wife Sophia Hartman; his children, Shawn Hartman and Nichole Capogrossa (Dylan); his grandchildren, Trevor Capogrossa, Mikey Hartman, William Capogrossa, Izabella Capogrossa, Aaliyah Hartman and Jenny Hartman; his sisters, Christine Johnson (Clarence) and Julie Newmann (Jeffrey); his sisters-in-law, Kim Pinneo (Donald) and Denise Livingston (Kenneth); his nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Jaqcueline, Justin, Sara, DJ, Alexa, Lola, Lauren, Sid, T. J. and Christian; and his great-niece Berri.
