He was predeceased by: his wife Arlene; his parents, Leonard Stanley and Henrietta Minnie Michalski; his son John; his sisters, Patricia Rogowski (Robert) and Loretta Wandolowski (late Norman); and his brother-in-law Carl Engel (late Delphine).

He is survived by: his children, Christine Schmitt (Kerry), David (Therese), Dennis (Joy Jury) and Ron; his grandchildren, Dana Wagner (Ryan), Kayla Busuito (Christopher), Adam, Sarah and Rachel Fjerstad (Brandon); his great grandchild Owen; and his sisters-in-law, Sylvia Sochacki (Leo) and Carol Stys (Larry). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
