He was predeceased by: his grandson Brendan; his siblings, Thomas, James, John and Daniel; and his parents, Patrick Mulcahy and Beatrice Mulcahy.
He is survived by: his wife Muriel; his children, Kathleen Dedenbach (Kirk) of Troy, John Mulcahy (Dawn) of Troy, Jennifer Mulcahy of Shelby Township and Kevin Mulcahy of Columbus, Ohio; his grandchildren, Claire, Paul, Karis, Joseph, Isela, Jack and Meredith; and his sister Kathleen Emery (late Charles) of Grosse Pointe. He is also survived by wife, loving children and grandchildren, and friends.
