He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Wilma Steffens and Arnold Steffens; his wife Nadine (Garbe); and his children, Kathy Day (Steve Wallace) of Arlington Heights, IL, Richard Steffens (Susan) of Oconomowoc, WI and Brian Steffens (Michelle) of Macomb Twp.

In lieu of flowers, family is requesting donations be sent to the Samaritan House or Forgotten Harvest, local food pantry.
