She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Terrence "Terry" Markey; her parents, Harriet Winifred Matzen and Frank James Goddard; and her brother Jimmy. She is survived by: her daughters, Kimberly Gurak (Christopher) and Sheila DeFilippis (Mike); her grandchildren, Ryan (Lacey), Kristopher (Sara), Megan (Rich), Danielle (Zak), Alexandra, Samantha and Zachary; and her great grandchildren, Parker, Landon, Kaleigh, Arianna, Violet, Rickie, Charlotte, Layla and Lucas. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Coats Funeral Home - Waterford (3141 Sashabaw Rd, Waterford Twp, MI 48329). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial donations be made in Sharron's memory to The Medical Team Hospice of Flint.
