We announce the death of Daniel John Hanna of Union City, Michigan, who passed away on September 20, 2026, at the age of 78. Daniel will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Elaine (Miller); and his sister Sharon Bell. He is survived by: his wife Mary Wells; his children, John Hanna (Melissa) of Coldwater and Amy Goodwin (Todd) of Olympia, WA; his stepdaughters, Dawn Tyndall (Tony) of Battle Creek, Denise Temple of Battle Creek and Danielle Osborne (Kerry Dulin) of Homer; his grandsons, Brendan Hanna (Jenna) of Lansing and Connor Hanna of Grand Rapids; and his siblings, Susan Frook of Union City, David Hanna (Vicky) of Battle Creek and Lorna Fuller (John) of Quincy.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation (1276 Tate Trl, Union City, MI 49094). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Fort Custer National Cemetery (15501 W Dickman Rd, Augusta, MI 49012).
