He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert G. Bennett and Helen Bennett (O'Donnell); his stepson Tony Turnpaugh; his brothers, Robert "Bobby" Bennett and Leon Bennett; and his stepson Curtis Kelley.
He is survived by: his wife Nellie Taylor; his daughter Brandy Baker (Tony) of Battle Creek; his stepdaughters, Debi Spahiev (Greg) of Ft. Wayne, IN and Julie Meyers (Tom) of Greensboro, GA; his grandchildren, Darren Turnpaugh (Brittney), Simia Spahiev, Brittney Barnett (Niles), Jordynn Riddell (Michael), Daniel Baker and Carrie (Bryan); his great grandchildren, Whitley Baldwin, L. J. Pierman, Bailey Barnett, Niko Barnett and Lochlan Riddell; his siblings, Larry Bennett (Sandy) of Marshall, JoAnn Eldridge of Battle Creek and Patricia Sperti of Lansing; and his niece Debbie Supnet of Modesto, CA..
