William Gene Cook Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Gene Cook of Union City, Michigan, who passed away on May 26, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel May Cook, Sr. (Stuck) and Raymond E. Cook, Sr.; his son Rickie Shires, Jr.; his sister Judy K. Cook; and his brothers-in-law, Carnie Cook and Steve Harrington.
He is survived by: his wife Dell Rose Dhabolt; his children, Pamela Lynn Cash (Mike) of Union City, Kari Lynn Rosenberry of Union City, Shelly Ann Cook of Union City and Cynthia Sue Bernhardt; his grandchildren, Kimberly Marks, Jessica Carpenter, Robert Cash, Leah Corey, Rilee Rosenberry, Jasmine Cook, Blake Melton, Bryce Cook, Jace Bernhardt, Christianna Davis and Kayla Heckman; his great grandchildren, James H. Heckman, Zoey E. Heckman of Casidhe, A. S, Adelynn M. Carpenter, Alexander S. Heckman, Emmett J. Miller of Eric James and Elowen Miller; his stepfather Virgil Bowerman of Union City; his siblings, Linda Carter (Jeff) of Battle Creek, Raymond E. Cook, Jr. (MaryAnn) of Quincy, David A. Cook of Sherwood, Jerry L. Cook (Amy) of Champagne, IL, Robert Cook (Sherry) of Union City and Sheryl L. Harrington of Orland, IN; and his stepsiblings, William Bowerman (Lisa) of Quincy and Sally Davis of Union City. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
