The memory of Lois JoAnn Steinke of Union Pier, Michigan, who passed away on October 1, 2025 at the age of 89, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Pruetz and Sadie Pruetz (Mast); her husband Herman Steinke; her son-in-law Fred Ellingson; and her brothers, Lowell Pruetz and Monroe Pruetz.
She is survived by: her children, H. Dean Steinke (Linda), Karen Ellingson, Kevin Steinke (Stacie) and Kristi Marrapode (Tom); her grandchildren, Ryan Ellingson (Emily), Kyle Ellingson (Andrea), Sarah Steinke, Leah Miller (Pat), Adam Marrapode (Denise), Nick Marrapode (Sierra), Ashley Flores (Luis), Matt Marrapode (Virginia) and Jake Marrapode (Kat); her great grandchildren, Owen, Cora, Nathan, Thomas Marrapode, Elia Jo, Emery Flores and Charlotte JoAnn Ellingson; and her siblings, Edward Pruetz (Joyce), Nancy Pruetz and Peggy Farnsworth (Mike). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Pike Funeral and Cremation Services (9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman, MI 49106). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, Boyd Chapel (9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman, MI 49106). A burial will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Graceland Cemetery.
