She was predeceased by: her parents, Emin Backus and Eva Backus (Elias); her husband Miki; and her siblings, Joseph Backus, Madeline Thomas, Anthony Backus, Agnes Herit, Nellie Foyt, Marie Toro, Catherine Sutton, Louis Backus, Paul Backus and Josephine DeGeorge.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela Brownlie (Kenneth), Robert Schwarzkoff (Mary) and Mark Schwarzkoff (Tammy); her grandchildren, Mousie, Sarah (Zach), Mackenzie (Jeremy), Ryan (Ashley), Christopher (Torrey) and Shelby (Drew); her great grandchildren, Nolan, Max, Christian, Henry, Sophia, Penny, Maisie and Brooks; and her siblings, Peter Backus and Eva Gilbert.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home (233 Northbound Gratiot Ave, Mt Clemens, MI 48043). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 9:30 AM and at 10:00 AM at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church (44633 Utica Rd, Utica, MI 48317).
