It is with sadness that the passing of Richard Daniel Benyi of Vandalia, Michigan is shared. Richard, born on September 27, 1942, passed away on September 19, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Richard will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Richard by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Richard is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Richard’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Benyi and Dorothy Benyi (Burgett); and his siblings, Ruth Ann Beers, Dorothy Beers, Barbara Miller and John Arthur Benyi.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Benyi (Valerie) of Edwardsburg, MI and Samantha Schuelke (Michael) of Vandalia; and his sister Rosemary Neice. He is also survived by six grandchildren; one great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Billings Funeral Home (812 Baldwin St, Elkhart, IN 46514).
