He is survived by: his mother Patricia Sides (Dipzinski) of Vanderbilt; his children, Emily Sides of Marquette, Tishia Copenhaver (Matt) of Gaylord, David Sides Jr. of Gaylord and Tanner Sides of Gaylord; his siblings, Craig Sr. Sides (Cindy) of Indian River and Lorena Payton (Kyle) of Vanderbilt; and his grandchildren, Travis Copenhaver, Elora Sides and Carter Copenhaver.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Livingston Township Hall (3128 Old 27 N, Gaylord, MI 49735).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family, through Tishia Copenhaver.
