He was predeceased by: his parents, Bonnie Riedel and Clare Ziegler; his brothers, David and Mark; and his grandson Kyle.
He is survived by: his siblings, Larry, Deborah Collins (Don) and Timothy; his former wife Wanda Walker; his children, Scott Ziegler (Charney) and Angie Rooney (Adam); his grandchildren, Michael (Jessica), Kelly, Emily, Emilee Kay Lynn, Jeremy, Joshua and Angel; his great grandchildren, Nolan, Nash, Weston and Waylon; his wife Margaret Barnett (Birk); his children, Chuck Barnett (Deb), Ann Zwerk (Marty) and Tom Barnett; his grandchildren, Krista, Collin, Haley (Tyler), Landon (Claire), Macy (Dean), Lainey, Josh (Kendra) and Madison; his great grandchildren, Sofia, Olivia, Harvey, Duncan, Briar, Leland, Alana and Ella; and his son Kenworth of Michigan.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Luke's Lutheran Church (916 W Huron Ave, Vassar, MI 48768). A burial was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Riverside Cemetery (5855 Frankenmuth Rd, Vassar, MI 48768).
He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend and will be missed by so many!Memorials can be made out to St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
