In the sacred silence of farewell, Carol is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Carol's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Brown and Olive Brown. She is survived by: her children, Greg Shepherd (Laura), Donald Shepherd, Barb Driver (Dale), Clyde Shepherd (Kim) and Calista Hecht (Kurt); and her husband Jack. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 1 great great grand child.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hanlin Funeral Home - Vassar (1148 W Saginaw Rd, Vassar, MI 48768). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Tuscola Community Church (8956 Church Dr, Vassar, MI 48768). A burial was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at the Tuscola Township Cemetery.
A dinner will be shared at TCC afterwards and everyone is encouraged to join in!Memorial contributions can be directed to Tuscola Community Church.
