He is survived by: his children, Kristopher Nearing, Corby Reif (Mark) and Candice Erdman (Andy); his grandchildren, William Reif, Henrik Reif, Jack Reif, Amelia Erdman and Weston Erdman; and his siblings, Sue Nearing and Virgil Nearing II.
