It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Otto Heinlein of Vassar, Michigan, born in Bay City, Michigan, who passed away on January 25, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert George and Hulda Heinlein (Bublitz); his brothers-in-law, Donald Davis and John Caspers; and his brother Charlie Bublitz.

He is survived by: his wife Faith Heinlein; his daughters, Sarah Reid (Tom) and Hannah Howard (Norm); his grandsons, Hunter Reid, Michael Reid, Zachary Denniston and Nathaniel Howard (Emma); and his sisters, Frances Davis and Linda Caspers. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
