It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vina L. Swinton (Vassar, Michigan), born in Tallahassee, Florida, who passed away on January 21, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Leonard Alston and Elizabeth Alston (Williams); her spouse Jewel Swinton; her great grandchildren, Jewell Swinton, Jerry Swinton (Evelyn) and Willie Swinton; her sister Mildred; and her granddaughter Amie.

She is survived by : her children, Delores Douglas (James), Kim, Larry Jr., Karen and Derick; her great grandchild John T. Swinton; her grandchildren, Antoine, Melissa, John Jr. and Lola; her great grandchild Lillie Swinton; her grandchildren, Viva, James and Terrall; her great grandchild Jonathan Swinton; her grandchildren, Tonya, Natile, Jonathan and Vickie; her great grandchild Sylvester Swinton (Barbara); her grandchildren, Treasa, Catina, Corey and Paul; her great grandchild William Swinton (Maria); her grandson Jason; her great grandchild Ozie Swinton (Princess); her grandchild Trista; her stepgrandchildren, Erica, Eric, Marice, Scott and LaFaye; and her grandchildren, Susan, Tyrone, Cedric, Amy, Santos, Angie, Allen, Nick, Jerry Jr., Dawan, Felicia, Chauno, Reuben, Nakita, Sheilita, Marcus, Devon and Nicholas. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews & cousins.
