We announce the death of Jackie William Baker of Vermontville, Michigan, who passed away on October 9, 2026, at the age of 77. Jackie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyrus Baker and Laura Baker (Hatt); his son-in-law Josh Glass; and his siblings, Esther Wells, Lewis Baker and Barbara Ann Baker.
He is survived by: his wife Lucy Benedict; his children, Jason Baker (Melanie), Juli Jacobusse (Troy) and Jami Glass; his grandchildren, Adia, Emma, Cara, Ashlyn and Dani; and his siblings, Marion Pelto, Donna VanVleet, Ernie Baker (Marilyn) and Rose Spidel (Dave).
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Community Center (8925 Round Lake Rd, Vermontville, MI 49096).
If desired, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
