The memory of Claudia Ruth Burgess of Vicksburg, Michigan, who passed away on June 20, 2025 at the age of 85, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Hodgman and Ruth Hodgman; her husband Richard Burgess; her son Richard Burgess Jr.; her daughter-in-law Melissa Burgess; and her siblings, Lilia Hodgman, George Hodgman, Joyce Hodgman, Roy Hodgman and John Hodgman Sr..

She is survived by: her children, Peggy Gonzales (Jose), Tom Burgess (Melissa), Bob Burgess (Debra) and Peter Burgess; her close friend Lacey Beeman; and her pets, Buddy and Dakota. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grand children; and countless nieces and nephews.

In honor of Claudia's generous heart and lifelong commitment to helping others, memorial contributions may be made to the YMCA Kalamazoo.
