He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hiskes and Alice Hiskes (Boonstra); his wife Ruth; his grandson Benjamin Dykstra; and his brother Dr. John Hiskes.
He is survived by: his children, Scott Hiskes (Sheryl), Heidi Dykstra (Kenneth) and Mark Hiskes (Julie); and his grandchildren, Jason Swaagman, Justine Budz (Brandon), Joel Hiskes (Amanda), Adam Dykstra (Jessica), David Dykstra (Mariah), Jamilyn Hiskes and Brian Hiskes. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
