He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Philport and Helen Philport (Saleski); his former wife Ardelle Philport (Smith); his grandson Christopher Gingell; his stepson Charles Sullivan; and his brothers, Jerry and Dale Philport.
He is survived by: his wife Jean; his children, Jennifer Gingell and Darin Philport; and his stepson John Sullivan. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
