Robert A. Peters Obituary
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends will be held at States Golf Course at 20 W. Ave E, Vicksburg, MI 49097, on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Robert Anthony Peters, age 81, passed away at his home on August 22, 2026. He was born in Kalamazoo on September 16, 1944, the son of the late George and Jacoba (VanLoo) Peters. He grew up in Kalamazoo and after graduating high school enlisted in the Navy. He served our country with honor and after being discharged returned to make Southwest Michigan his home. He began working for the Upjohn Company and retired in 2000 after several years of dedicated service. When not working, he pursued his passion for golf. He was a regular member at States Golf Course where he played in leagues and made many friends. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge and VFW. Along with his long-time companion, Carol Kelly, he enjoyed spending Winter months in Englewood, FL. Robert also enjoyed driving his Corvette's and spending time with his pet dogs. To know Robert was to love him and his smile, laughter and fellowship will be missed. Robert never had any children of his own, but his family circle extended to many people he would meet throughout his life.
