He was predeceased by: his parents, Nancy Cross Hiemstra and Fred Hiemstra; and his brother Brad Hiemstra. He is survived by: his close friend Bethany of Vicksburg; his daughters, Jessica Hiemstra-Hargrove (Travis) and Jennifer Goetz (Brock); his grandchildren, Jackson, Katie and Avery; his sister Jayma Teutsch (Eric); his sister-in-law Colleen Hiemstra of Vicksburg; and his nephew Darren Hiemstra of Vicksburg. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Scott will be remembered not only for his contributions to the community but also for the legacy that will live on in the hearts and memories of his friends and community, who will forever treasure the moments shared with him.
