She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Victor Kangas and Aili Helena Kangas (Korpela); her husband Milton Soren Nelson of Paul's Lutheran Church; her sister Sylvia Wahlberg; her siblings-in-law, Vernon Wahlberg, Duane Johnson, Conrad Nelson, Gordon Lake, Corrine Lake and Marie Nelson; and her parents-in-law, Louis Nelson and Monica Nelson.
She is survived by: her children, Paul, Michael (Vicki), Neal (Linda), Karl, Kelvin (Vicky) and Pamela Webber (Jim); her sister Nancy Johnson; her grandchildren, Amanda Reller (Jordan), Katie Nelson, Alec Nelson, Sarah Nelson, Tia Webber, Jacob Webber (Natalie), Jackson Webber and Jason Webber; and her great grandchildren, Lori, Morgan Maki and Cody Nelson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (E8223 Sanders Rd, Bessemer, MI 49911). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
